In the SANE project, EAI plays a key role in advancing desalination and nuclear safety research through active participation in multiple work packages. In WP1, EAI is conducting a comprehensive bibliographic study and identifying essential parameters for desalination and urban wastewater treatment, laying the groundwork for further development. For WP2, EAI is developing an EcosimPro model of the LDR lite reactor, designed for integration with desalination processes. Finally, in WP3, EAI is modeling a specific desalination technology in EcosimPro to assess its potential impact on reactor nuclear safety. This work extends to a broader analysis of the effects of non-electric applications on nuclear safety, in coordination with other coupled services.
